The ANC (Active Noice Cancellation) feature of the AirPods is something that many brands are trying to match with their offerings. And even though many TWS (True Wireless Stereo) buds did come close to or match the ANC of the AirPods, they fell short in the design department. Well, that changes with the new TWS from Bang & Olufsen.
Yes, you just read that right! The Danish audio brand Band & Olufsen is now offering a TWS bud that beats the Apple AirPods Pro design: the Beoplay EX.
At its core, these are a pair of noise-canceling TWS that is the first from the company to boast protruding stems. However, that is precisely where the similarities between the AirPods Pro and the Beoplay Ex end!

The new TWS from B&O features a genuinely luxurious finish on the exterior. There is a load of Scandinavian styling on the buds. And those styling makes these new TWS buds stand out a lot from the other buds available on the market. But the premium touches of the headphone does not end there.
Its overall construction is of tempered glass and aluminum. And the best part is that the TWS buds are available in a wide range of colors, undoubtedly making the Beoplay EX luxurious.
Furthermore, the buds come with advanced ANC technology. It will adapt to your surroundings. According to the brand, the users will genuinely appreciate the “depth, detail, and clarity of sound.” Bang & Olufsen even went ahead and stated that the TWS would offer a “truly immersive audio experience.”

Nonetheless, the buds can monitor the ambient sound around you. And through that, the ANC technology will adjust the noise cancellation level and offer you an immersive overall sound experience.
There is a transparency mode available as well. As you might know already, that mode will enable you to stay more aware of your environment.
What about the drivers? Well, B&O did not skimp one bit in that regard. They have gone for a 9.2 mm driver, which is the biggest so far for the TWS earbuds. That would eventually mean a significant audio power and performance upgrade.

So, what about the battery life? You will be looking at a range that will be anywhere from six hours to eight hours.
And the range will depend if you have the ANC turned on or off. But the good news is that you will be getting an additional 14 hours of backup from the charging case. The buds have excellent build quality as well. They feature an IP57 rating.
However, all of these premium features will come at a premium price. Yes, that is something that the Bang & Olufsen could not beat the Apple AirPods Pro in. But the TWS that you are getting for the price is indeed worth it!
