Huawei launched its FreeBuds Pro back in September 2020. Although it did not see that much fame, it was solid overall TWS (True Wireless Stereo) buds. The company just unraveled the successor, which goes by the name of Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2.
Recognizing the ambient sounds in an intelligent way, HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro switches the noise cancellation mode accordingly for a perfect music experience.
And this new iteration of the lineup has a lot of promises and aims to further improve the audio experience users enjoy from TWS. There are tons of upgrades in terms of the internals.
However, the main highlight of the Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 is the dual driver design. According to Huawei, it is a totally unique ‘Ultra-hearing True Sound Dual Driver’ sound system. The system comprises a planar diaphragm along with the quad-magnet dynamic driver.
But all the driver and sound department upgrades will mean nothing without proper EQ technology. Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2 took care of that too. It comes with ‘Triple Adaptive EQ’ technology.
That tech will make the earbuds capable of tuning the audio according to the ear canal structure of the users. It will also consider the wearing posture and set the volume level automatically.
In short, users will be signing up to get a personalized sound profile without requiring manual tweaking. Furthermore, the FreeBuds Pro 2 will also come with LDAC, which is Sony’s new high-res audio codec protocol.
The new earbuds are said to be co-engineered with Devialet, a French audio specialist. This collab with an audio specialist makes the FreeBuds Pro 2 seem much more promising than the previous iteration.
Huawei also promises an advanced noise cancellation feature. Considering the fact that the originals already had an excellent noise cancellation tech, this new and advanced feature does hold the potential to blow other ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) TWS out of water.
According to Huawei, the FreeBuds 2 Pro will boost the average ANC depth by 15 percent compared to its predecessors. The new TWS will even come with an Intelligent Dynamic ANC 2.0 tech.
That will determine the external sounds and select the correct noise cancellation mode to eliminate all the environmental noise. In fact, the FreeBuds 2 Pro promises to offer a stellar listening experience even when you are on a flight.
Additionally, the FreeBuds Pro 2 also comes with a Pure Voice Call feature. It is yet another noise cancellation tech that will offer clear and quieter calls.
And this tech will rely on the quad mics on the TWS with the Deep Neural Network noise cancellation algorithm. In other words, the buds will be capable of accurately picking up your voice while properly suppressing the wind noise and other noise around you.
