Most of the TWS buds will come with a charging case with indicator lights. For many users, these indicator lights can be confusing and take some time to get used to.
From rich, punchy bass to thrilling top notes, you’ll always experience the ultimate sound experience with JBL Tour Pro+ TWS.
So, JBL thought, “why not put a smart display on the case?” And that is exactly what the brand did with the Tour Pro 2!
The charging case for most of the TWS buds is big enough to have a screen on them. However, until now, no brand has thought of putting a screen on the cases.
Well, with the JBL Tour Pro 2, you will get a 1.45 inches LED Touchscreen on the backside of the case. But what is the display there for?
With the touchscreen, you will be capable of checking the status of the earbuds, customizing the buds, and even checking the notifications that come on your phone.
When it comes to notifications, the JBL Tour Pro 2 case can show you social media notifications, call notifications, and other notifications that come from various apps. And you can even check the call history and messages on your phone through the screen.
Basically, the screen is there to make the JBL Tour Pro 2 get smartwatch functionalities. Being capable of checking all the alerts and notifications without taking the phone out is one of the conveniences that smartwatches can bring to the table.
And JBL is here to offer that exact convenience with the Tour Pro 2. On the underside of the case, you will find a rubberized material. That is there to add traction to the case, which means it will not swipe off your desk.
So, you can keep it out of your bag all the time. Aside from the advancements on the screen, the TWS buds come with the support Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio. They have 10 mm dynamic drivers, which aim to offer an outstanding sound.
According to the brand, the Tour Pro 2 are the “most powerful and feature-rich headphones yet, pushing the performance to the next level with a smart, seamless user experience and superior audio, including immersive JBL Spatial Sound and the first true wireless earbuds to be encased in JBL’s innovative smart case.”
Nonetheless, the inclusion of the screen did not seem to have any effect on the battery life. The case can still offer up to 50 hours of playtime without ANC off. And with ANC on, it can offer up to 30 hours of runtime. And the buds can provide up to 10 hours of playback time.
