The AMP 10 and AV 10 were announced by Marantz back in last year’s September. However, the Cinema Series has just entered the Europe market.
And in case this is the first time you hear about these home cinema devices, you have a lot of things to look for!
So, let’s introduce the series with AV 10. It is a 15.4-channel AV preamp/processor that comes alongside 200 watts power amplifier partner, the AMP 10. This 8K-supporting AV processor, with the AMP 10, promises to offer you the ultimate home cinema experience.
Now, these are not the only devices that are within the Cinema Series of Marantz. Instead, they are additions to the lineup. Alongside the AMP 10 and AV 10, there are Cinema 40, 50, 60, and 70 AVRs. These have been rolled out by the HiFi brand over the previous weeks.
That said, the new models are here to add cherries to the top of the lineup. They represent the pinnacle of Marantz. And that is true for both the features and performance perspectives.
The AV 10 is packed with 15.4 channels of output and processing. This setup can decode DTS:X, Dolby Atmos, Auro 3D, and IMAX Enhanced. With these, you have the support for up to a 9.1.6 Atmos config.
There’s also MultEQ XT32 room correction inside. You even have the option to upgrade to the professional version of Dirac Live.
When it comes to inputs, the Marantz AV 10 has seven HDMI ports. And the great news is that they are all 8K-compatible.
There’s also a suite of analog and digital inputs, which will let you hook up any Blu-ray players, turntables, gaming consoles, or other audio sources.
On the note of audio sources, the Marantz AV 10 also has HEOS multi-room music streaming platform integration. This integration will act as a gateway to streaming services, which include Amazon Music, Spotify, Tidal, and Deezer.
Besides, the AV10 also utilizes the current feedback amplification and discrete HDAM of Marantz. That makes it an ideal partner for AMP 10.
And the AMP 10, on the other hand, is also built on the HDAM-SA2 technology. It comes with the newly developed Class D amplification, which takes the performance to a new level.
While the AMP 10 offers 16 channels of amplification, it does not back out one bit in terms of power. It can offer an impressive 200 watts of power to each channel.
That too into 8 Ohms. And if you want it into 4 Ohms, you can get 400 watts of power on each channel.
According to Marantz, the AMP10 is the company’s “most advanced and refined amplifier architecture.” So, you can tell that it will not fail to amaze you in terms of performance.
