Monoprice, an American electronics firm, has released a set of noise-canceling headphones featuring spatial audio for $130.

The Monolith M1000ANC has a cushioned headband, pivoting earcups, and memory foam earpads that twist down for compact storage.

The 40mm drivers are touted to produce high-quality sound with clear highs, mids, and also deep bass. However, we’ll have to try these headphones ourselves to see how well they sound.

The most intriguing element here is the capability for spatial audio. By widening the soundstage beyond what a conventional set of headphones can provide, Dirac Virtuo creates a more immersive and natural-sounding listening experience.

Customers of the Monolith M1000ANC will hear an enhanced soundscape that incorporates all spatial cues from the original stereo material – as if coming from a pair of high-end home speakers.

As implied by their name, the M1000ANC also includes Active Noise Cancellation. The hybrid ANC is capable of canceling out up to 35dB of ambient noise, ensuring that music is heard clearly.

Additionally, there is an ambient mode that allows you to listen in on your surroundings when required, as well as compatibility for Qualcomm Echo Cancellation and Noise Suppression for crisper phone conversations.

Finally, the headphones have a 40-hour battery life with ANC enabled, and the USB Type-C connector can be used to power up the headphones for up to two hours.

This extended battery life is due in part to Bluetooth 5 compatibility, which also provides faster data transfer speeds and a more stable connection than earlier pairings.

These elegant new headphones have an ultra-comfortable, lightweight cushioned headband design with pivoting earcups and memory foam earpads for a superior fit and fatigue-free listening experience. The premium 40mm drivers provide an incredible sound with sharp highs, smooth mids, and deep bass.

Dirac VirtuoTM improves the listening experience by stretching the sound stage well beyond the physical boundaries of the headphones, enabling listeners to enjoy their music more immersively and naturally. A travel case, a USB-C charging cable, and a 3.5mm audio cord are included with these headphones.
