FiiO has been killing it in the audio industry and recently, the audio specialist brought out the FiiO M11S, which amazed tons of audiophiles.
Even though that was a mid-range offering, it brought a lot of high-end features. But the FiiO M15S goes a step beyond that. It comes with desktop-grade converters without increasing the overall form factor.
Basically, the M15S has two ES9038PRO digital-to-analog converters inside it. Each of the DAC chips is dedicated to each stereo channel.

According to FiiO, these converters are capable of offering extremely high-quality decoding. They bring the support for playback of audio files of up to 384kHz/DSD256 too.
Besides that, the FiiO M15S supports MQA, allowing users to direct stream Tidal Masters. The portable hi-res audio player can also play the MQA files directly from local storage.

There’s a 2.4GHz/5GHz WiFi inside the FiiO M15S. That enables the portable player to get native support for streaming songs through Apple AirPlay and DLNA streaming.
The WiFi chip even makes the audio player completely compatible with the multi-room software platform Roon. On that note, the M15S runs on Android 10. Thanks to that, you will be able to get lossless access to Qobuz, Tidal, and Apple Music.
Under the hood, you have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660, the same SoC as the flagship M17. So, you can expect to get a smooth overall performance.
That said, if you are not a fan of wireless audio, you have three wired options. The M15S comes with 4.4mm and 2.5mm balanced outputs along with the regular 3.5mm headphone jack.
On the front, you have a 5.5-inch HD display. It is multitouch and registers touch quickly. For storage, the FiiO M15S offers 64GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot.
You can expand the storage to up to 2TB through that slot, which is a lot, even for high-res music. Even with all this hardware inside, the FiiO M15S is extremely lightweight.
