Jabra Elite 85t vs 75t: Which one to Choose?

Jabra is a global brand that crafts high-quality products that are intended to deliver premium sound. Based out of Denmark, it has a wide catalog chock full of headsets and audio equipment that many feel are some of the best on the market.

Today, we will be looking at two of these models… the Elite 85T and the Elite 75T. Both are well-designed and high-performing earbuds. However, though they are both well-made, some features vary from model to model. Here we are going to take a look at how each stands up against the other in a Jabra Elite 85T Vs. 75T match. Jabra Elite 85T

This model is the upgraded version of the model we will be looking at next and is fitted with new features and components that elevate its performance to new heights. In fact, the addition of an adjustable noise-cancellation system and the improved design brings an audio quality that could stand toe to toe with the likes of Apple and Bose.

This fuller and more dynamic sound also comes with improved listening modes, additional features, and some specs that seem unbelievable when looking at a set of earbuds.

This model may be an upgrade, but when it sits next to its predecessor, there is very little that looks different other than the larger size. Even with this larger size, though, they are still smaller than some of the higher-end models that are offered by their competitors. The earbuds themselves are crafted with premium-grade plastic, which gives them a nice presence. Finished with a matte finish, they come in a few different color options.

Another extra feature is the charging case. This is a combination of both the 75T and 65T cases. Of course, though the case stayed relatively the same, the size of the Elite 85T earbuds means their case is bigger. This model is fitted with a QUALCOMM QC5126 processor and has a dedicated noise-cancellation chip. That noise cancellation can easily be adjusted and has five different settings that you can fiddle with.

This model has a 12mm speaker, which is twice the size of the speaker in its predecessor. This improves the sound quality and allows for more audio detail to ring through.

Jabra Elite 75T

Now, let us take a look at the Elite 85T’s predecessor. Like the previous upgraded version, this model is also an upgraded version of the 65T. This model is smaller than its predecessor and is packed with more features. The unit is crafted with high-quality materials and is waterproof. The earbuds also come with magnets, so when not in use, you can join them together so they don’t get lost.

The Elite 75T is fitted with 6mm speakers that give it a crisp and dynamic audio production. This is all combined with an impressive spec sheet that makes it stand up even to its own predecessor.

This model doesn’t struggle with an ill fit, and its on-ear stabilization is some of the best on the market. The unit is crafted to be ultra-lightweight, which decreases ear fatigue and makes it comfortable to wear. The earbuds come with multiple ear tips, as well as a USB charging cable. Having a redesigned sound port that is designed longer than its predecessor helps with that fit, as well.

This unit comes with active noise cancellation, but it isn’t as competitive as the upgraded 85T that we looked at previously. Where this model seems to sparkle is the audio quality. The audio comes out with a nice punch and clarity that gives it a leg up over a lot of its competition.

There you have it – a look at both contenders. Though the Elite 85T seems to be the better of the two, the Elite 75T has its merits, as well. The biggest of these is the battery life. In fact, when looking at the tale of the tape, this may very well be the only place where it shines brighter than the 85T.

However, if you are looking for a more discreet pair of earbuds, then the larger body of the 85T may not be a good fit for you. Not only is the 85T larger, but it is heavier, as well.

That being said, the Elite 85T has been redesigned with an oval shape, so it fits more comfortably in the ear. Along with this, it has five levels of noise cancellation, whereas the Elite 75T only has four levels. Coupled with the larger speakers, this makes the sound quality of the 85T better than its predecessor, especially in regards to the higher levels of volume, as the 75T has been known to get way too loud.
