With three standalone compact and high-fidelity subwoofers, the Monitor Audio Anthra subwoofer series became official. With powerful amplifications and an app with advanced DSP and setup configuration, the new range of subwoofers aims to deliver class-leading audio.

If you’re looking for specifics, the Monitor Audio Anthra subwoofers feature a strong and rigid yet highly lightweight build. They also come with C-CAM cones with a reasonably higher bending stress resistance.

Thanks to this resilience, the new Monitor Audio Anthra models exhibit incredibly higher fidelity over the entire operation range. According to the brand, the subwoofers can deliver a “cleaner, clearer, more precise lifelike sound presentation.”

This is the first time Monitor Audio has opted for the Rigid Surface Technology II. By increasing the cone rigidity, the RST II tech allows the radiating surfaces to effectively resist mechanical bending forces.

And as the shape of the driver cones doesn’t get twisted or deformed, the new Anthra subwoofers can eliminate distorted sound from the equation.

Besides the RST II C-CAM drivers, the new Monitor Audio Anthra subwoofers have an amplifier with Class-D 425, 900, and a substantial 1400-watt RMS. The continuous levels with peak demand can reach 500, 1700, and a whopping 2500 watts.

The Anthra subwoofers also utilize an extremely thick MDF cabinet, which boasts up to 1.4-inch thick external walls. The internal walls are up to 3/4-inch internal walls.

These come with carefully configured bracing. Monitor Audio has carefully configured the bracing to acoustically optimize them for higher strength.

On the rear, the Monitor Audio Anthra subwoofers come with a large number of connectivity ports. That includes RCA with LFE, allowing you to easily daisy chain up to four Anthra models.

In addition, you have XLR inputs, making it easier to get a professional installation with the subwoofers. You can also use the XLR inputs for daisy chaining.

You get a full-color display on the rear panel as well. It has a rotary dial, allowing you to configure the subwoofers quickly.

And when you’re using multiple Monitor Audio Anthra subwoofers, you can use the display to ensure the same settings across the entire setup. For those wondering, the lineup has the Anthra W15, which is the largest model of the series.

It features a 15-inch Rigid Surface Technology II C-CAM driver with a 1400-watt Class-D amplifier. Then, there’s the Monitor Audio Anthra W12, offering a 12-inch driver with a 900-watt Class D amplifier.

And the final model of the series is the Anthra W10, which is also the smallest subwoofer of the series. While it’s small, it comes with a mighty 10-inch driver and 425-watt amplification power.

That said, no matter which model you pick, you have two color options: High Glass Black and Satin White. You can make them yours from late October 2023.
