Bose has another new member in its lineup: the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar. It’ll be replacing the much-known Bose Smart Soundbar 900.
Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar with Dolby Atmos and Voice Control is top-of-the-line wireless speaker, surround sound system for TV and so much more
Here, the inclusion of ‘Smart’ in the title doesn’t only make the soundbar present itself as a proper successor to the predecessor. In addition, the ‘Smart’ naming is also there to emphasize the AI feature.
Wondering what that AI feature is? The new Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar basically has an AI Dialogue Mode. This mode aims to balance the voices and the surrounding sound automatically.
It considers the content that’s being shown to tweak the sound output. This eventually means that you don’t need to hurriedly turn the volume down when there’s a surprise loud ad in the middle of a stream.
But it’s not just the AI feature that makes the new soundbar get the ‘Ultra’ title. The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar also comes with a robust setup. Under the hood, there’re nine dipole speakers.
Two of them are in the upward-firing configuration, which makes the soundbar perfectly deliver the height channels of DTS:X and Dolby Atmos soundtracks.
Moreover, the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar comes with the proprietary TrueSpace tech. As you might know, this tech aims to spatialize content, which includes the 5.1 surround and even regular stereo tracks.
This proprietary tech eventually makes the soundbar deliver a truly immersive listening experience.
You also have the option to take the sound to the next level. The Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar is compatible with the Bose Bass Module 700 and 500 subwoofer. With one in the setup, you can get a setup that delivers rich and deep bass.
Alternatively, you can get Surround Speaker modules installed. Those will make the audio output even more immersive. There’s Bose SimpleSync technology inside the soundbar too.
This tech offers a seamless connection between the soundbar and some of the compatible Bose products. That includes the new Bose QuietComfort headphones and some ‘select’ Bluetooth speakers.
Thanks to this tech, you even get the option to group other Bose smart speakers or soundbars with the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar. For example, you can get multi-room listening through the Bose Music app with Soundbar 600 or Home Speaker 3000.
Then, there’s the Voice4Video. This tech sits on top of Alexa and expands the voice control options.
Besides, you can hook the Bose Smart Ultra Soundbar to a TV with the optical or HDMI eARC. There’s support for AirPlay 2, Bluetooth, WiFi, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect as well.
Other highlights of the soundbar include the support for ADAPTiQ room calibration. This calibration system is designed to optimize the sound output of the soundbar in different room conditions.
