You might know Pro-Ject Audio as a HiFi brand that makes only turntables. However, since 2016, the brand has been offering record-cleaning machines too.
And the most crucial factor about these cleaning devices is that they are more affordable than the other available options.
Take the VC-S2 Alu and VC-E models, for example. These two have proven that the Australian HiFi brand excels at offering something more than just a turntable.
They were extremely popular and made cleaning records a breeze for beginners and veterans. Nonetheless, recently, Pro-Ject Audio has introduced two new models.
With that, the RCM range of the Australian HiFi brand has just been extended. And this new generation of cleaning machines builds up on the previous iterations in all regards.
They are now encouraging more people to buy new and used records. So, what is new in the latest cleaning machines from Pro-Ject Audio?
Firstly, the VC-E2 and VC-S3 come with an improved cabinet design. They utilize a 5mm aluminum composite panel, which makes them sturdy and robust.
There are new magnetic clamps too. They will make the setup process a breeze. Furthermore, you have new and improved motors.
Thanks to those, the Pro-Ject Audio VC-E2 and VC-S3 will be able to offer fast and highly effective cleaning results.
The VC-E2 and VC-S3 also come with new self-adhesive arm strips. These strips will enable better interaction between the vacuum arm and the record.
You also have a new pre-mixed, eco-friendly, and alcohol-free Wash it 2 cleaning fluid. As you can guess, this new fluid will take record cleaning to the next level.
Moreover, the Wash it 2 cleaning liquid is a ready-to-use mixture. It has pre-mixed concentrated cleaning fluid with demineralized water.
Pro-Ject Audio mixed these two components at the correct ratio, giving the mixture the highest cleaning efficiency.
The liquid also keeps the motor life in mind. Instead of making it work hard, it extends the motor’s lifespan. Also, the Pro-Ject Audio Wash it 2 is designed to evaporate quickly.
And the liquid leaves zero residues when evaporated, which means you will see little to no fluid buildups on the internal waste containers of the Record Cleaning Machines (RCM). Also, the liquid works on both shellac and vinyl records.
Lastly, the Pro-Ject Audio VC-E2 and VC-S3 have an advanced vacuum cleaning method. With that, the RCMs will enable you to get the best out of your vinyl collection.
That said, if you want one, choose the VC-S3 if you are an advanced user. The VC-E2 also has advanced features, but it is more beginner-friendly than the VC-S3.
