Were you looking forward to getting a Sony 2023 QD-OLED TV for your home theatre? Well, the pricing information for the entire range has just been officially revealed.
And the good news is that the price tag for the TV models is much lower than initially predicted. As per the official announcement, the Sony A95L QD-OLED TVs will come in three different models.
Depending on the size of your room, you can pick the 55-inch, 65-inch, or 77-inch version. All of them will be available for pre-order from August 21.
If you can recall, the general pricing and availability of the Sony 2023 QD-OLED TV range was announced back in June of this year. However, that announcement did not mention the Sony A95L range.
The A95L is important because the A95K of last year was one of the best OLED TVs. Like the QD-OLED models from Samsung, the Sony QD-OLED 2022 models were only available in 55-inch and 65-inch models.
And the important part was that the models had a higher price tag than Samsung alternatives. Based on that, many predicted that the Sony 2023 QD-OLED TV models will be pretty expensive this year.
Well, it turns out that Sony wants to make its QD-OLED TVs more accessible. That is, the Sony 2023 QD-OLED TV models actually have lower prices than expected.
And the lineup also includes a 77-inch model, which is great for those with a large-sized room. That said, when it comes to specifics, the QD-OLED 2023 starts at $2,799.99, which is the price tag for the 55-inch model.
The 65-inch model is at $3,499.99, and the 77-inch unit is going to cost you $4,999.99. Now, even though TV models might appear expensive, they bring a lot of upgrades.
According to Sony, the 95L TV models will offer up to two times peak brightness than the A95K lineup. In addition, the panels of the TV are more efficient than last year’s models.
And it comes with Sony’s Cognitive Processor XR and a robust heat sink. These two will offer you a better overall viewing experience. Other than that, the Sony 2023 QD-OLED TV models are better suited for gaming.
The units come with Dolby Vision gaming and 4K 120Hz. And as there’re tons of 4K games already available for PS5, you can expect to get a redefined gaming experience on the new models.
Moreover, there’s auto HDR tone mapping and auto genre picture mode. These adaptive techs will enhance the picture when it detects an input from the PlayStation 5 gaming console.
In terms of audio, the Sony 2023 QD-OLED TV models bring Acoustic Surface Audio+. It’s a feature that utilizes actuators positioned right behind the OLED panel.
These actuators vibrate the screen to output sound. Also, there’s Acoustic Center Sync, which elevates the voices when paired with a Sony Soundbar.
