This video takes you through the unboxing of the Sony a6400 Camera.
This 4K mirrorless camera from Sony is a powerhouse of features from Sony and has some of the best auto eye-tracking and autofocus features on the market.
There are few 4K cameras that can follow a subject through motions and keep a laser-targeted focus on the recorded footage. It’s almost Terminator-like it’s so accurate. A subject can be moving quite quickly and yet the sensor follows it and keeps it in focus, all while making it look amazing.
The depth of field that can be achieved is also impressive.
The Sony a6400 is a very popular camera with YouTube vloggers. In part, this is because of its autofocus features and also in part because it offers a great flip-up display which allows for self-monitoring while recording. A kind of really expensive selfie-camera.
The feel of the camera is weighty and expensive without being too unwieldy. I would not want to be carrying this casually in one hand down 5th Ave in New York simply as there is enough weight in the unit to be easily knocked from one’s hand.
But if you are carrying it your most likely going to have the carry strap or similar to avoid such stupidity. There are two solid steel-framed strap mounts on either side of the camera.
This is going to be a joy to shoot with so watch this space as we try it on upcoming videos and still photo shoots.
