LG has been a little quiet last year. But it seems like the brand is ready to make an impact at the CES 2023. And from what we can tell from the latest announcement, the 2023 LG OLED TV models will be bangers!
Among all, the one that will highlight the entire lineup will be the Brightness Boster Max feature. This feature will make all the G3 models offer up to 70% more light than the conventional OLED models.
And achieving that is not a small deal at all. It required LG to combine a light-boosting algorithm with its latest hardware design.
Nonetheless, the top-of-the-line models for the new LG OLED TV lineup are the Z3 8K and the G3 series. Then, there is the mid-range C3 series. And finally, you have the entry-level B3 series.
Among these, the C3, Z3, and G3 LG OLED TV models are set to come with OLED Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro.
It is one of the features that will intelligently distribute the color mapping and brightness over 20 blocks. The models will also come with the brand-new HDR Expression Enhancer.
That feature will provide object-based tone mapping. And it will also carry out object-based sharpness enhancement.
You will also find AI Super Upscaling that will boast scene and genre detection, which will be present in all the TV models of the new lineup.
On that note, the AI Super Upscaling of the new LG OLED TV models is specced for 100% DCI-P3 color volume coverage. That means that the new panels will offer insanely accurate colors.
On the C3 and G3, that AI-based picture-improving mechanism will be powered by the a9 AI processor 4K Gen6. And for the Z3, LG has utilized a9 AI processor 8K Gen6.
And on the B3, you will find the a7 AI processor 4K Gen6. These processors will make sure that the AI feature works like it’s intended for the respective models.
Additionally, the new LG OLED TV units for 2023 will sport a wide range of gaming features. They will boast 120Hz refresh rate support, FreeSync Premium, VRR, and Nvidia G-Sync.
All of these will enhance your gaming experience with the TVs. Furthermore, the top three series of the lineup will come with four HDMI 2.1 ports.
And the entry-level B3 series will feature two HDMI 2.1 ports. The OLEDs will also be the first TV that will be certified for Quick Media Switching VRR.
It is a feature that reduces the “black screen” effect while switching from one HDMI-connected source to another.
Overall, the 2023 LG OLED TV lineup looks excellent on paper. And these TVs indeed have what it takes to become the next best OLED TVs in 2023.
