Headphones are often the preferred audio output for many when streaming music. Still, sometimes, a speaker might be the best fit – especially if you are not alone.

Excellent PC speakers cost hundreds to thousands of dollars, and it is understandable why audiophiles spend that amount for a set. Those speakers have premium build and sound quality.

It does not mean that you should spend that amount, though. A $50 PC speaker might be enough for your needs if you are a starter.

With that in mind, not every $50 speaker is made equal. Others might have mediocre quality, while other units may be considered “bang for the buck.”

Do not worry about buying one; I am here to guide you on which PC speakers under $50 are worth buying.

Best $50 PC Speakers Worth Getting

Searching the internet for the best PC speakers under $50 can be tiring since there are a lot of models to choose from.

Today, you are in luck. I have narrowed down the choices to these models. Pick one from this list, and you can never go wrong with it.

Let’s get started.

The Logitech Z213 2.1 channel speakers top is my pick for the best speakers under $50. It fits right under our budget, and the sound quality is ample for personal listening. It also comes with a sub-woofer – perfect for bass-heavy music. I used this speaker when building a budget setup, and the sound quality is more than enough for its price. No, it is not the best-sounding speaker out there, but the features you get at this price point are unbeatable.

The Z213 has a compact design and fits nicely on your desk. It also comes with volume control with a 3.5mm plug connection.

Do not expect premium construction with the Z213. I dropped mine before, and it survived, but I wouldn’t risk it happening again, or else the plastic construction might not hold up.

It is still a worthy contender to be the best PC speaker under $50. It is perfect for budget setups. Just don’t expect a $1000 sound quality at this price point.

Logitech Z200 2.0 Speakers

Wired dual channel speakers at an affordable price

4.5/5
Price Range: $
Brand: Logitech
Logitech Z200 2.0 Speakers

The Download

The Logitech Z200 speakers are a great alternative if the Logitech Z213 is not available or if you want a slim option.

The sound quality of the Z200 is quite similar to the Z213, except that it is not bass-heavy due to the lack of a subwoofer.

Like the Z213, the Z200 features a slim, compact design that fits any desk setup. The right speaker houses the controls since there is no control pad. You may also insert earbuds or headphones through the 3.5mm jack.

Build quality is not a strong suit since the material is mainly made of plastic. It is understandable since this speaker is just around $40.

The Specs

  • Frequency range:  18k – 80Hz
  • Total peak watts:  10W
  • Total RMS watts:  5W
  • 3.5 mm input:  2 (up to 1080p)

Creative Labs Pebble V3 with Bluetooth

The Download

Creative Labs create some of the best speakers for PC and this time, they hit the budget mark with the Pebble V3 – a minimalist desktop speaker that can be used wired or through Bluetooth.

Coming in at under $40, the Pebble V3 has a rounded shape body with the drivers facing you up at an angle, right where your ears are.

The good thing about the Pebble V3 is its connectivity options. You can connect it to your computer through USB-C, and you do not need an extra cable for the audio input. Just plug it in, and the USB-C connection will take care of data transfer and power.

If going full wireless is your choice, then you may connect to this speaker via Bluetooth 5.0.  There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, too if you want to plug in another media player.

This speaker might be small, but the sound quality can rival speakers at a higher price. The sound signature is rich, and if you want more oomph, the built-in gain switch will give you the right amount of extra push.

The Creative Labs Pebble V3 with Bluetooth is available for $40. However, if you need a more affordable option, then the Pebble V2 USB-C wired speakers are available for only $27.99.

If you do not use USB-C, then do not worry. The USB-A version is available for $19.99.

The Specs

  • Frequency range:  100Hz to 17KHz
  • Total peak watts:  16W
  • Total RMS watts:  8W
  • Headphone jack:  1
  • Bluetooth:  5.0
  • Weight:  2.18 lbs (1kg)

  • USB-C to USB-A converter

Stuff I like

  • Minimalist design
  • Simple controls
  • Great sound profile

Stuff I like less

  • Better connectivity options
  • Struggles at High Volume

Cyber Acoustics CA-3090 2.1 Channel Speakers

Excellent sounding 2.1 channel speakers without breaking the bank

4/5
Price Range: $
Brand: Cyber Acoustics
Cyber Acoustics CA-3090 2.1 Channel Speakers

The Download

The Cyber Acoustics CA-3090 is currently one of the best budget speakers you can buy. You cannot expect an audiophile-quality experience at this price point, but for $30, it will definitely exceed your expectations.

These speakers come with a subwoofer, and it is powerful enough to drive the low end. The bass produced is punchy but not heart-thumping. You may adjust the bass levels through the separate knob at the back.

The mids and the highs are well-balanced too. However, the equalizer needs some tweaking to reach the perfect spot.

Besides the subwoofer, the CA-3090 also includes a control pod similar to the Logitech Z213. It is convenient since you can adjust the volume or turn the speaker on and off. There is a 3.5mm audio jack, too, if you want to plug in other headphones.

For less than $50, Cyber Acoustics did a great job with this speaker. It is not perfect by any means, but it gets the job done.

The Specs

  • Peak Power:  18W
  • Watts RMS:  9W
  • Speaker Drivers:  2” Dynamic Drivers
  • Subwoofer:  4”
  • Headphone jack:  1 (control pod)
  • Bluetooth:  No
  • Weight:  5.4 lbs

What’s in the Box?

  • Two speakers
  • One subwoofer
  • One control pod
  • Power cable

Stuff I like

  • Balanced sound quality
  • Punchy bass
  • Great price

Stuff I like less

  • Needs equalizer to make the sound better
Overall Rating: 4 / 5 Stars

The Bottomline

Here are some of the best speakers under $50 worth buying today. These speakers have their own strengths and weaknesses. All you have to do is decide which compromises you are willing to go for.

$50 PC speakers are definitely not mind-blowing. But for their price, they are still gems out there that users on a budget would love to get.
