The Norwegian HiFi brand Electrocompaniet has announced the launch of a brand-new mono-power amplifier, the Electrocompaniet AW 300 M.

As a model built up from the ground as a mono-only power amp, it builds on the AW 800 M, which is an award-winning model from the HiFi brand.

But what really sets the Electrocompaniet AW 300 M apart from the AW 800 M is that it comes with a compact form factor. Thanks to that, the new mono power amplifier is easier to integrate into different high-end audio systems.

That said, it’s not just the sleek and compact design that makes the new model a good pick. There are many other great factors.

For example, the Electrocompaniet AW 300 M offers 300 watts of power in 8 ohms. This power rating ensures top-notch performance.

Besides, with the AW 300 M, Electrocompaniet showcases an updated yet unmistakable Electrocompaniet design. It seamlessly complements the aesthetics of both the legacy and contemporary Electrocompaniet offerings.

In addition, the AW 300 M comes with direct-coupled high open-loop bandwidth topology. This topology gets further enhanced by the high slew rate. There are extremely high bandwidth amplifier stages as well.

If you’re looking for more specifics, the frequency response range with the input filter active is from 0.5 kHz to 220 kHz. And with the input filter disabled, the frequency response range is from 0.5 MHz to 1.1 MHz.

The voltage gain of the Electrocompaniet AW 300 M is rated at 29 dB. It’s applicable for both the mono and balanced input. In terms of input-referred noise, it’s under 2 µV.

And for signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), at full power output, it’s 120 dB. The other specs of the Electrocompaniet AW 300 M include a DC output voltage rating of under five mV, THD+N at 0.0006%, and a damping factor at 8 ohms load at under 1000.

Overall, the AW 300 M has everything that it takes to deliver a world-class audio performance. And considering that it builds on a well-known AW 800 M, it has undoubtedly got the hopes up of audio enthusiasts.

Wondering when you can see the Electrocompaniet AW 300 M in action? The brand will launch the mono-power amplifier at the Warsaw show. It will be on showcase alongside the much-loved AW 800 M.
