After weeks of anticipation, the Jabra Elite 8 Active has finally been unveiled. Jabra unrolled the curtains on the pair of wireless earbuds at the IFA 2023 event.
There’s nothing tougher. Tested to Military Standards, the Jabra Elite 8 Active Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds are completely dustproof, waterproof and sweatproof, and designed to withstand full submersion in water up to 1.5m/4.9ft.
While the Elite series has always carried a great pair of Bluetooth earbuds, Jabra took things to the next level with the Elite 8 Active. To be exact, the durability level of the Elite 8 Active is pretty much unbeatable.
After all, the Jabra Elite 8 Active is geared toward the sporty crowd. And sports earbuds tend to face the most adverse environmental conditions.
But how durable is the Jabra Elite 8 Active? Jabra has made the earbuds go through all the tests required to get the US Military Standard. The standard, as you might know, is called 810H.
That means the Jabra Elite 8 Active has been subjected to the likes of high altitude, humidity, extreme temperatures, and, most importantly, heavy rain.
In addition to the 810H US Military Standard, the buds come with an IP68 rating. With this, the buds can stay submerged at up to 1.5m depth. Also, it’s fully dust-tight, allowing you to take the buds to the beach without any worries.
When it comes to sound, the Jabra Elite 8 Active doesn’t back down one bit in terms of the sonic performance the Elite series is known for.
In other words, the sound performance didn’t degrade just because of a high durability level. As a matter of fact, the Elite 8 Active should offer you a better experience than its predecessors.
It comes with Dolby Audio, which makes the buds capable of delivering spatial audio playbacks. Additionally, the buds feature Adaptive ANC.
This tech automatically optimizes noise canceling by considering your surroundings. So you don’t need to make any manual adjustments.
Moreover, the Jabra Elite 8 Active comes with HearThrough technology. It comes in handy when you’re commuting or doing activities outdoors as it muffles loud noises without blocking the traffic and important sounds around you.
The voice-calling performance of the Elite 8 Active is impressive as well. Jabra has integrated six microphones and wind noise-protecting mesh. These two ensure that the buds can pick your voice with the highest possible clarity.
Regarding the battery life, the Jabra Elite 8 Active can offer eight hours of runtime with a full charge. And with the charging case, you can extend the overall runtime to around 32 hours.
Other highlights of the earbuds include Google Assistant support, Google Fast Pair, and Bluetooth Multipoint. These features will enhance the user experience with the wireless earbuds.
