Marantz has officially unrolled the curtains on two new products, the Marantz CD 50n and Model 50. Among these two, the Marantz CD 50n is a networked CD player, while the Model 50 is an integrated amp.
Starting with the Marantz CD 50n, it can act both like a CD player and a high-resolution networked audio playback device.
It brings support for both the new and legacy media types. That’s a piece of great news for those who are still holding onto their precious CD collections.
Besides, the Marantz CD 50n comes with a 32-bit ESS Sabre DAC. To make the Marantz CD 50n and Model 50 launches special, Marantz has integrated custom-designed Marantz Musical Digital Filters into the CD player.
The Marantz CD 50n also offers multiple digital inputs and network access. That includes Ethernet and WiFi. It even allows access to high-resolution audio files via digital audio connections.
You can stream high-resolution audio files over a home network too. But for that, you need to rely on the built-in HEOS music streaming platform. It’s possible to get music streamed to the Marantz CD 50n through mobile devices via Bluetooth.
There’s also support for Apple AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect. For home entertainment enthusiasts, the Marantz CD 50n allows TV connection through its HDMI ARC port.
Other highlights of the Marantz CD 50n include musical digital filters to deliver detailed and clear sound. There’s high-resolution audio playback support via USB with up to DSD 256 and PCM 384 kHz/32 bit.
Its digital pre-amp offers flexible volume control. And accessing streaming services such as Tidal and Spotify is a breeze in the CD player.
Marantz says that the Marantz CD 50n and Model 50 pair beautifully with each other. That brings us to the second start of the show, the Model 50.
It’s a brand-new integrated amp from the brand, which offers 70-watt per channel. The Model 50 equips a High Current Output architecture.
It is based on parallel push/pull pairs of output devices. The integrated amp is designed to minimize internal impedance losses with carefully laid out signal path topography.
Its pure analog configuration comes with a high-quality MM phono stage. This phono stage ensures great results when you partner the integrated amp with vinyl sources.
Both the Marantz CD 50n and Model 50 come with crystal-fascia displays. And you can use the remote control of one to control the other.
This makes it easier to pair the two together. And for those wondering, the Marantz CD 50n and Model 50 are now available for purchase.
