Streamlines the initial setup of your home theater by ensuring your receiver and speakers are properly calibrated to the room they’re in. This technology compensates for differences in speaker size and distance to equalize response so you get exceptional audio playback no matter the space you’re in.

While the TX-SR3100 Audio Video Receiver (AVR) may be affordable, it doesn’t skimp in features. It comes with everything that’s needed to take your audio experience to the next level.

As Akihisa Watanabe, the Project Leader of the brand, mentions, the Onkyo TX-SR3100 is configured to deliver “dynamic and content information in fine detail.”

More specifically, it has DTS:X and Dolby Atmos formats, allowing users to map the incoming sound in a three-dimensional space. These two also allow the sound effects to move seamlessly from one speaker to another in the room.

With HDMI 2.1a support, the Onkyo TX-SR3100 can offer various video resolutions. That too in different refresh rates, including 4K 120Hz and 8K 60Hz. It also brings support for Dynamic HDR formats.

Moreover, you will find support for SBTM, QFT, VRR, and ALLM. Onkyo says that the combination of a 60Hz refresh rate ensures you’re getting a sharp and smooth viewing experience.

On the other hand, HDMI 2.1a with 8K makes the Onkyo TX-SR3100 ready for robust setups. It allows the AVR to deliver clear and pristine picture quality.

Other than that, the Onkyo TX-SR3100 integrates HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. These two do a perfect job of delivering clear, crisp, and dynamic colors. So, you’re basically signing up to get a full-fledged movie theatre experience right at home.

To simplify the setup process of the TX-SR3100, Onkyo has incorporated AccuEQ Room Calibration. It’s a feature that’s usually present in the high-end AVRs.

This tech helps in terms of calibrating the receiver and the speakers together. It does that by compensation for differences between the speaker size and distance. As a result, the Onkyo TX-SR3100 can offer finely tuned audio performance.

Then, there’s the Vocal Enhancer technology. It enhances the dialogue and vocals by integrating the center element into the front right and front left speakers. With it, every word of the playback achieves a higher overall clarity.

For audiophiles, the AVR brings music optimizer DSP listening mode. It restores the audio files and offers you an authentic lossless quality. The feature does that by reconstructing the data that were lost during compression.

This mode particularly shines when you’re playing MP3, AAC, and WMA. So, regardless of what you have in your music library at the moment, you can enjoy lossless audio with the Onkyo TX-SR3100.

Lastly, the TX-SR3100 has a Dolby Atmos Height Virtualizer. It lets traditional speakers produce a virtual height effect and surround sound.
