The Sony WF-1000XM5 Wireless Earbuds has been a hot topic for quite a while now. So far, we got to know many things regarding the upcoming earbuds.

And most of these leaks came from credible sources. However, none of the previous leaks mention the pricing information of the buds.

Well, if you want to know or get a hint of how much the upcoming Sony flagship earbuds could cost, you need to check out the latest leak. It gives you info about the European pricing of the wireless buds.

However, you must note that we have yet to get official information regarding the Sony WF-1000XM5 Earbuds. To be exact, Sony did not say anything about it working on the buds. So, you should treat all the leaked information with grains of salt.

With that said, the latest leaks say that the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) will feature a premium price tag. Specifically, the leak states that the new buds could set you €319.99, around $350. That makes the Sony WF-1000XM5 Headphones see a price hike compared to the predecessor.

In case you didn’t know, Sony released the WF-1000XM4 at €279 in Europe, around $304. So, if the leaked pricing info turns out to be accurate, the new buds will be €40 expensive or about $44 more than the predecessor.

Do note that these crude calculations from Euro to Dollar are done using the conversion rates found at the time of writing.

And these calculations do not reflect the launch price of the earbuds in the United States, actually that’s on Sony.

So, there’s a high chance that you might be paying more or less when buying the buds. Regarding the pricing information, the $44 price hike seems a bit steep.

However, if you compare the pricing information with the price of Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II, things start to make sense. The QuietComfort Earbuds II launched at $299, which is not exactly cheap.

Even so, many audiophiles bought the premium buds, and they were happy about it. In fact, the noise-canceling buds have a five-star rating from most of the reviewers.

Moreover, Sony will not put a higher price tag without offering multiple upgrades. Per previous reports, the Sony WF-1000XM5 Wireless Earbuds is expected to have many advanced audio techs.

That includes wireless charging, tweaked designs, advanced audio tuning, and Bluetooth 5.3. All these upgrades could make the upcoming buds see a price hike.

Still, you must remember that the pricing information of Sony WF-1000XM5 is just a leak at the end of the day. So, it would be best to wait until the official announcements before getting to a conclusion.
