The Technics EAH-AZ40M2 is the latest offering from the audio specialist. It follows up with the EAH-AZ60M2 and EAH-AZ80.
Both the earbuds were very well received and got a lot of praise for offering redefined audio experience. With the EAH-AZ40M2, Technics took things to the next level.
Firstly, the audio specialist has looked into the shape and size of the buds and chassis. The EAH-AZ40M2 is comparatively lightweight and wallet-friendly than the other EAH stablemates.
But the size did not compromise the audio quality. In fact, it just got better. The Technics EAH-AZ40M2 comes with enhanced drivers, which aim to offer superior sound.
To be specific, the EAH-AZ40M2 has 6mm drivers. Panasonic, the maker of Technics, claims that these drivers can deliver clear sound with a sense of range and depth.
The inside of the buds is designed to optimize the airflow, which results in more natural-sounding vocals. The design is also there to smooth out the trebles.
It even creates a dynamic sound range, reducing distortion and enhancing the audio quality. There’s support for LDAC Bluetooth codec too. That will ensure that you get hi-res quality audio when playing high-quality files.
There’s improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) too. Wondering where Panasonic did the enhancement?
The Technics EAH-AZ40M2 has two modes, Natural Ambient Mode and Attention Mode. You can switch between one and another by considering your environment.
And for the wireless connection, the Technics EAH-AZ40M2 features Bluetooth Multipoint, which lets you connect the buds to up to three devices.
As Technics offers this on-the-fly feature, you can link the buds with multiple devices without issues. One thing to note here is that most of the buds come with a Multipoint feature that lets you connect them to only two devices.
So, it’s quite interesting to see Panasonic offer support for three devices with the Technics EAH-AZ40M2. That said, you will not need to worry about the fit and comfort of the buds. Like its predecessors, the EAH-AZ40M2 comes with varying tip sizes.
That will let you get the possible fit in your ears. Regarding the battery life, the Technics EAH-AZ40M2 buds can offer up to seven hours of run time.
With the charging case included, you can get up to twenty-four hours of playtime. With the ANC on, the total runtime is around 18 hours with the carrying case.
Finally, the True Wireless Stereo (TWS) buds have an IPX4 rating. It keeps the buds protected from splashes of water from any direction or angle. Thanks to that, you can wear it without worrying about anything while exercising.
