The LG PU700R Projector is the latest addition to the CineBeam lineup of LG’s projectors. And the main thing that PU700R has going for is that it is super portable. But there are many other extremely portable units out there. So, what truly sets the PU700R apart?
Well, the projector can deliver 4K HDR images anywhere and everywhere. Yes, you read that. You can fit a 4K HDR-capable projector right into the smallest pocket of your backpack.
With the ability to project up 120 to inches large screens, LG PU700R CineBeam portable projector will definitely liven up your outdoor movie nights.
And it’s not just the large screen projecting ability that will let you get redefined experience. Instead, the importance is on the LG PU700R’s ability to shoot 120 inches in 4K UHD resolution.
It even has HDR10 support with Dynamic Tone Mapping. So, the details on the images will be rich and very noticeable.
According to LG, the LG PU700R 4K utilizes an LED light source that can deliver 1000 ANSI lumens of brightness. And the significant part is that LG states that the LED can last up to 30 thousand hours of use.
The brightness rating makes the PU700R better than the Samsung The Freestyle. That can offer about 230 ANSI lumens.
In addition to that, the LG PU700R mini projector is highly versatile. It comes with a stand that can rotate to a full 90 degrees.
There’s an Auto Screen Adjustment feature that will automatically adjust the picture according to your setup. Therefore, you will not have to modify any settings manually.
The stand also comes with a new Mood Lighting option, which utilizes the color-changing LED. That will let you set the vibe before fully entering movies and shows on indoor and outdoor setups.
On that note, the LG PU700R has webOS integration. It is a smart platform with support for Disney Plus, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and other major streaming platforms.
However, LG did not confirm whether the webOS is on the latest version or not. If you want to stream locally, you have Apple AirPlay 2 and Android Screen Share.
Those will let you wirelessly mirror movies and shows from mobile devices. In addition, USB type-C, USB type-A, and HDMI 2.1.
And the interesting part is that the portable projector has HDMI eARC support, which means you will not need to keep too many remotes around.
Alongside that, there will be no need to use an external speaker. The LG PU700R portable projector has a 5W speaker that works exceptionally well.
