The rumors regarding Apple Beats Studio Pro headphones have been going wild lately. And as a matter of fact, there’s a good reason behind it.
The pair of Beats headphones was spotted in a US FCC filing. In case you didn’t know, the FCC filing is the regulatory paperwork brands must go through before launching the product.
So, as the Studio Pro headphones have gone through the FCC filing, there’s a chance that it might not be that far from being launched. But the FCC filing is not the only one.
In addition to that, the headphones turned up in an iOS beta last month. And that was pretty much the point where all the rumors started to pile up.
Why is there so much hype revolving around the Beats Studio Pro wireless headphones? If you can recall, the Beats Studio3 over-ear headphones launched six years ago.
Yes, that’s how long there have been no headphone releases from Beats. Apple did tweak the Beats Studio 3 headphones after the launch in 2017.
Still, tweaked versions do not change the product. And needless to say, that little tweaking does not make a product new.
Even with those tweaks, the Beats Studio3 headphones still look and feel very much like the original version. So, the new Beats Studio Pro headphones are something that fans have been eagerly waiting for.
That said, there are no details on the specifications of the Beats Studio Pro headphones. But according to previous leaks, the headphone could be an affordable alternative to the AirPods Max.
Also, the code spotted in iOS 17 beta strongly suggests that the headphones will feature improved Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and spatial audio.
That indicates that the Beats Studio Pro headphones will come with the same H2 chipset that’s found in the AirPods Pro 2.
If that’s the case, the Beats Studio Pro headphones will bring a massive upgrade over the Beats Studio3 wireless. And it could very well be the reason why Apple will not launch the next-gen AirPods Max any time soon.
Talking of which, there are many speculations regarding the price point of the Beats Studio Pro headphones. But considering the fact that the Beats wireless headphones will be upgraded to the predecessor, they will likely cost higher than the Beats Studio3.
Even so, it will be cheaper than the AirPods Max. Apple might follow the strategy of Sony for the release. The Sony WH-1000XM5 is more expensive than its predecessor.
But if you consider the features, it’s worth it. So, if Apple does things right, Beats headphones could be back in the headphone game again.
