Headsets, Headphones and earbuds for making your work easier and more enjoyable
Best Headphones for Work
The office environment is not typically associated with headphones but I have to say the work environment and the technology have changed these days.
Some jobs require headsets and for others, a good headset can make your day at work easier. Whether for team communication, making you more focused, headphones can serve to your advantage if used properly.
The price is obviously impressive on these ANC headphones add great sound quality and you’ve got a pair of headphones for work that anyone can enjoy and afford, whether your the Barista or the Chief Enchilada Officer.
So what makes a good set of headphones for work? Well, it depends on what you’re after. But generally, quality mics are welcome if you need team communication. Also, noise-canceling is a welcome addition if you need help focusing.

Apart from that, all regular rules apply: you need quality audio, a solid price-quality ratio, high durability, and since you might be wearing the headphones in an office surrounded by co-workers, cool looks are extra welcome if possible.
With that said, let’s dive into the meaty part and find your best headphones for work.
1: Anker Soundcore Life Q20
Price and Sound in one package
What I love about Anker Soundcore Life Q20 first and foremost is the price-quality ratio. The sound is top-notch and they’re comfortable, so that’s two crucial boxes checked right out of the gate. And then on top of that, I like the noise-cancelation.
Let’s expand on that, the ANC feature, Active Noise Cancelation. I think it’s ideal for the work environment. It primarily cuts out the mid-range and low-end noise.
In plain terms, sounds like airconditioning noise, people talking, the rumble of computers and other devices – that’s what gets cut out. You’re not cut from the world, you’re still aware of the environment, it’s just the annoying office noises that you won’t have to deal with.
The grasp is comfortable, and although I would appreciate higher quality materials on the ear cups to reduce the heat and sweating, Soundcore Life Q20 is comfortable enough to wear throughout the workday.
Back to the sonic department, the basses stand out. The low end is rich, but the punchy mids aren’t lagging far behind. The high trebles secure clarity for a well-rounded audio output.
In terms of connectivity, we’re looking at wireless headphones with Bluetooth connectivity.

What we like less (Cons)
- Ear cup material could be better
2: Bose QuietComfort 35 II
Premium Option
I’ve owned these for years and while the QC 45 are out, these are such a great deal and such a great headphone I always recommend them to people.
So, If you’re in that lucky position where you can spend a few extra dollars and enter the premium league, I say check this one out!
In terms of noise cancellation, the Bose QuietComfort 35 II delivers similar qualities as the Anker Soundcore Life Q20, except more refined and well-rounded. You don’t have to listen to any music, just put them on and cut the noise out.
The sonic output is not bass-oriented, but evenly distributed across the frequency spectrum. This means the headphones are ideal for all applications and music genres. Premium stuff.
I love the built-in mic; the sound is clean, great for team chats or business meetings. As usual, the wireless connection operates via Bluetooth. Another work-oriented feature is the integrated Alexa support. You can use the headphones to give voice commands to your virtual assistant, save time, and focus more on the work at hand. Good stuff.
Then there’s the build quality, and this is where it’s just blatantly obvious how high-quality these cans are. The materials are top-notch, and the cups are a joy to put on. You can wear them for full eight hours, and then some!

3: Logitech H390 Wired Headset
Budget Pick
If you want to pay the lowest possible price that will still get you a good pair of work headphones, I got your back. Look no further than the Logitech H390.
I’m genuinely surprised by what this thing does at under 20 bucks. The over-ear design makes the headphones comfortable and the sound quality is good. Here’s the thing – if you aren’t looking to listen to music while working, you don’t exactly need exceptional audio.
Sure, it’s great to have exceptional audio quality during business calls – it will improve your work experience for sure. But if you just aren’t interested in investing in that aspect, then a pair of headphones like this will give you all the sonic quality you need.
The noise-canceling is decent, and I like the adjustable mic. Speaking of which, the mic sound quality is on par with the overall audio delivery, so, pretty solid.
I can’t offer any massive praises for this one other than delivering the basics everyone needs in a work environment at the best possible price tag. And to be fair, there’s nothing wrong with looking for just that. Thumbs up from here, that’s all I can say!
What’s in the Box?
- Logitech H390 headphones
- 3.5mm audio cable
- USB cable
- User manual
What we like (Pros)

What we like less (Cons)

4: Apple AirPods
Best Compact option for work
In my experience, some folks just want the compact option. They don’t want headbands and they don’t want the cups. If you’re in that group, you can’t go wrong with the Apple AirPods.
As usual, design is the first thing that stands out with any Apple product. Below the modern, elegant looks, the AirPods offer exceptional comfort. You can easily wear these throughout the day, although battery is limited to five hours per charge. The fast charging through the included USB-C cable and the charging case make the process pretty smooth, though.
The sound quality is amazing. Apple struck a great balance between all frequencies to deliver crystal-clear audio whether you’re listening to bass-heavy music or a podcast. They work great during business meetings; the on-board microphone is clear and loud.
AirPods do not offer active noise cancelation. If you want to add ANC, you need to go with the AirPods Pro version which is a step up in price.
The obvious difference compared to the rest of the products here is, of course, the size. The AirPods are elegant and might even pass unnoticed when you’re wearing them at work.
What’s in the Box?
- Apple AirPods
- Charging case
- USB-C cable
- User manual
What we like (Pros)
- Top-level comfort
- Staple Apple design
- Amazing sound quality
- Compact size
What we like less (Cons)
5: Comexion Trucker Bluetooth Headset
Best for Calls
As I mentioned, sometimes work involves a lot of talk, video meetings, and audio calls. If that’s your case, check out Comexion.
The device sports an omnidirectional rotating ear cap. It’s crafted from soft protein leather, and it’s amazingly comfortable. The sound quality is 100% optimized for calls, and so is the microphone. If you need something just for making calls and attending meetings, this is the one.
This is a wireless set, and I’m really impressed with over 30 hours of operation on a single charge. Just wow!
Now, so far, we have top-notch audio quality for calls, high comfort, exceptionally long operation on a single charge. And of course, to round things up in style, I have to say the price is affordable and fair.
Again, the number of uses for this product is much more limited when compared to the rest of the list. But if that niche is what you’re after, Comexion is your winning ticket!
