The Swiss manufacturer has just rolled off the curtains on the Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 Series. This brand-new series comprises three beefed-up streaming speakers.
And from what it seems like, the entire series is going after the KEF LS50 and the LS60 Wireless with the price tags that they come with.
So, in the series, you have the Piega 301 stand-mounters, 701 floor-standers, and 501 floor-standers.
And as you can guess from the naming, Gen 2 represents the second-generation status. This status is marked by the transition from a bass reflex ported cabinet to a sealed design.
This new design enables the Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 Series to bring impulse reproduction and low-frequency precision to the table. The design also offers greater flexibility over the placement of the speakers.
But the design is not the only thing that makes the new lineup so good. It also comes with tons of advanced wireless technology.

For example, the Gen2 speakers have support for Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay, Spotify Connect, DLNA, and Roon Ready. Of course, you will find support for Bluetooth too.
These wireless technologies will improve your experience with the Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 Series. Moreover, you can get a separate ‘connect plus’ hub, which will let you stream with your preferred source device.
The hub can even accommodate external physical and analog physical sources. That means you can hook the Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 Series speakers up with a TV via HDMI if you want to.

Other than that, the hub doubles as a DAC and preamplifier. It can transmit music to the speakers in an entirely uncompressed and lossless format.
That is, you can enjoy your favorite tracks at 24-bit/96kHz resolution with the hub in place. Owners of iPhones can control the Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 Series speakers with the Piega Control iOS app.
The app even has calibration features that will let you adjust the parameters according to the placement of the speakers. Want to know what’s under the hood of Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 speakers?

They come with in-house Linear Drive Ribbon tweeters. Piega combined those tweeters with woofers and mid-range drivers to offer a 3-way arrangement with the 200-watt and 180-watt floor-stander models.
On the other hand, the stand-mounter features a 2-way arrangement with a mid/bass driver and 100-watt power rating. The inclusion of the woofer in the floor stander ensures that the speakers can offer excellent low-end performance.
Finally, the Piega Premium Wireless Gen2 Series speakers also come with a premium build. They feature a high-end finish on the exterior too.
