Design and Packaging

Let’s start with the design.

When I first got the box on the Kospet Tank S1, I was immediately drawn to its tough yet stylish appearance. Although it seems to be aimed at women, its design is undeniably unisex, making it a versatile choice for anyone.

I personally opted for the white color variant, which added a touch of elegance to its overall look. I like white technology, makes me feel like a Storm Trooper (yes, Star Wars).

The 45mm watch face stands out and the AMOLED is really bright, making a stylish statement on the wrist.

You can get it in various colors, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your personal style. For me, that’s white.

The Kospet Tank S1 arrived in a nice retail box, adding to the overall premium experience. It’s always a pleasure to receive a product that is well-packaged and presented.

All the features and benefits are on the box in a graphical format so you can’t miss its selling features – good job to the marketing team on this one.

Build Quality

In terms of its construction, the Kospet Tank S1 is made from 6xxx series aerospace-grade alloy and 316L stainless steel. This combination of materials not only contributes to its durability but also gives it a premium feel.

It’s certainly a watch that can withstand the rigors of daily use while maintaining its elegant appearance.

Additionally, this thing is light!

Weighing only 48g, it feels really light and comfortable on the wrist. This is especially important for those who wear their smartwatch throughout the day, as a heavy watch can become cumbersome and uncomfortable.

With this smartwatch, I almost forgot I was wearing it and its soft rubber strap is quite comfy.

Functionality

When it comes to the responsiveness of the screen, the Kospet Tank S1 does well. Navigating through menus and interacting with apps feels smooth, thanks to the highly responsive touch screen.

Whether I was swiping, tapping, or scrolling, the watch responded instantly, enhancing the overall user experience.

The software performance is solid. I never experienced any noticeable lag or slowdowns during my time with the watch.

However, it’s worth noting that there isn’t an app store for the Kospet Tank S1. While the built-in apps cover what you need for basic functionalities, such as fitness tracking, calls, and notifications, it would be nice to have expansion options.

Durability

One of the aspects that truly amazed me about the Kospet Tank S1 is the number of flipping tests they’ve done on its durability.

I decided to put it to the test in various water environments, including thermal hot pools, cold water, and even showering. It performed flawlessly in all situations without any issues.

It’s worth mentioning that setting the screen to locked mode is advisable during water-related activities to prevent accidental touches, as water droplets can make the screen think it’s being pressed.

This smartwatch has undergone rigorous testing, including drop-proof tests and obtaining 15 U.S. MIL-STD-810H certifications.

This demonstrates its ability to withstand challenging conditions, probably more challenging than I will subject it to – so it makes a reliable companion for even the most demanding adventures.

Battery Life

Battery life is a key consideration for any smartwatch user, including me, and the KOSPET Tank S1 truly surprised me.

After three full days of wearing the watch and interacting with it extensively, I was still left with over 80% battery remaining. This means that I can confidently rely on it for extended periods without constantly worrying about recharging.

It’s a significant element that ensures the watch keeps up with my daily activities and doesn’t leave me stranded with a dead battery. You can also go ‘low mode’ for longer performance.

Kospet says that the Tank S1 can last 2 to 3 days in AOD (Always-On Display) mode, 8 to 12 days battery for daily use, and as long as 50 days in standby mode.

The watch comes with a proprietary charger that works perfectly fine. While it’s not as universal as a standard USB charger, I had no issues connecting and charging it.

The charger magnetically connects to the pins at the back. You need some accuracy when getting the cable on and you want to make sure you don’t knock the cable once connected.

Customization

Regarding customization, the Kospet Tank S1 offers a decent number of watch faces to choose from.

This allows users to personalize the display and adapt it to their style and mood. I found this to be a nice touch, as it adds a personal flair to the overall watch experience.

Connectivity

Connectivity is another area where the Kospet Tank S1 does well. It connects to smartphones, allowing for easy pairing and synchronization.

I particularly appreciated its ability to be used for calls directly from the watch. It serves as a convenient extension of my smartphone, enabling me to handle calls without having to reach for my phone.

Final Thoughts on the KOSPET Tank S1

In summary, I think the Kospet Tank S1 is a great smartwatch that combines great looks, solid features, and a comfortable user experience.

Its tough and unisex design, excellent battery life (I’m now past day 5 and 79% battery left), and range of useful features make it a reliable and stylish companion for daily use. With its lightweight construction, water resistance, and durability certifications, the Kospet S1 offers peace of mind even in demanding conditions.

Whether you’re a fitness enthusiast or someone who appreciates a well-designed smartwatch, the Kospet Tank S1 is a solid choice. It provides a good balance of style, functionality, and affordability, making it a worthy contender in the smartwatch market.

If they can add in an app store, they’ll nail it.
