Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos is probably one of the best audio features of wireless earbuds. This feature truly makes songs seem immersive and makes you feel like being at the center of the concert.

But till now, it has been limited to music streaming services. Yes, Audible has just introduced the feature in its extensive audiobook library.

That said, at this current stage, Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos is currently available for some selected titles.

Even so, you can enjoy the feature in more than 40 titles. That includes The Sandman Act III, The Little Mermaid, and Maejor Frequency.

Now, in case you didn’t know, Audible is owned by Amazon. And it is not really the first time Amazon introduced the Atmos feature in a podcast-type streaming service

Last year, Atmos podcasts made their way to Wondery, which, again, is owned by Amazon. But the introduction of the feature in Audible is undoubtedly welcoming.

With this, Dolby seeks to propagate through audiobook and podcast markets along with the music and streaming markets.

And there’s really nothing wrong about it. Dolby is known for offering an excellent spatial audio feature, which lets you fully immerse in the audio.

When it comes to Audible, the Dolby Atmos collection will include feature-length productions, live performances, soundscapes, and podcasts.

Thanks to Dolby’s Spatial Audio, you will get the best possible experience for each of them. Now, if you do not have any idea about Dolby Atmos’s Spatial Audio, in short, it creates a virtual effect.

With that effect, you feel like you are watching a movie while being directly at the cinema hall or listening to music in a live concert. It increases the realism level and adds depth to the experience, making the audio much more enjoyable.

Apple was the first to introduce the Spatial Audio feature in TWS. And ever since then, other companies have been catching up with this feature.

After all, getting a 3D audio experience in a tiny little device is something everyone would want. Nonetheless, like Apple’s Spatial Audio implementation, Dolby Atmos has a ton of potential in the audio realm.

With the introduction of the Spatial Audio catalog at Audible, Dolby is just showcasing how good its version of Spatial Audio is. This introduction might even let Dolby penetrate other audio markets in the future.

And for Amazon’s Audible, the Spatial Audio feature is a special sauce for the platform. It will pull new users and bring back the old ones that might not have been around for a while.
