Nothing has recently teased its new True Wireless Stereo(TWS) buds that are due to be unveiled on October 26. However, it seems like the brand is open to working on a new project.
But this time, it is not about TWS buds. Instead, Nothing seems to be planning to enter the wireless headphone market.
The founder, Carl Pei, has tweeted about some of the fan-made concepts of a new headphone with Nothing branding.
And at first glimpse, you will know that the concept headphones have their uniqueness. That is something that the brand has been focusing on with its latest releases.
Starting from the first earbuds, the Ear (1) to the Ear (Stick), the devices had a unique design to them. This uniqueness to the design is what made the company get a proper grasp of its fanbase.
Nonetheless, the concept headphones seem to stick with the brand’s design standard. That is, they have LED strips on the ear cups and come only in white and black colors. Due to the LED strips, the concepts do look a lot like gaming headphones.
However, judging from the products that Nothing has been releasing lately, the brand is not gaming-centric. However, Carl Pei did mention that the concepts are “crazy cool.” That states that the designs are surely something that Nothing could consider working on.
To further add spice to the topic, the brand’s official Twitter account re-shared the post with the caption “Should we?.”
Although that is not a confirmation that Nothing is working on a new set of headphones, it did give the fans hope that the brand is considering the concepts.
From the current lineup of Nothing, you have products that are directly competing with the top names. That includes the Apple AirPods Pro, regular AirPods, and Sony LinkBuds.
But, the brand does not have a competitor to the Apple AirPods Max or the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless.
Nevertheless, even if the brand does want to bring out a competitor to those two highly-rated headphones, it needs to stand out with the design. And the concepts seem to have perfectly done exactly that.
The cool designs are probably the thing that made Carl Pei share them. Now, whether we will see a new headphone from the brand anytime soon or not will depend on further teasers.
And it is unlikely that the brand is planning to surprise its fans with a new announcement before October 26.
That is when the Ear (stick) will surface. So, you may see teasers of the Head (1) popping up next year.
