Sony is one of the leading players in the wireless Hi-Fi multimedia speaker system market.

The Japanese company’s products are built using high-quality materials, have long battery life, are durable, and can play stereo sound. I have followed the top-shelf speaker brand for years and talked about its latest releases in the HiFi space.

No products make more noise in the wireless speaker category than the Sony X-Series Speaker Range. The company recently added three new models to the range for users looking to get high-quality, crisp sound on the move.

The new additions include the SRS-XG300, XE300, and XE200.

The new wireless speakers feature a non-circular unit with dual passive radiators using proprietary Sony X-Balanced technology. This cutting-edge design produces deeper bass levels, crisper sound, and less distortion than its predecessors in the Sony X-Series Speaker Range.

The largest speaker in the range by size and weight, the SRS-XG300, offers 25 hours of playtime and features quick charging (10 minutes for 70 minutes of playback). In contrast, the smaller XE300 and XE 200 get 24 and 16-hour playback time.

The SRS-XG300 is equipped with Sony’s Mega Bass and Live Sound technology, making it excellent for outdoor parties and live music recordings.

All three additions feature built-in ambient lighting synchronized with the music’s beat. Due to their relatively smaller size, the XE200 and XE300 are meant to be used vertically for wider and further sound distribution. Other features include:

  • IP67 dust and water resistance
  • Compatibility with Google Fast Pair
  • Support for multiple audio codecs (AAC, LDAC, SBC, etc.)
  • Bluetooth 5.2
  • Multipoint connection
  • Echo canceling for better voice capture
  • Built-in microphone with manual switch

Moreover, users can download Sony’s Music Center app, which comes with a battery care feature designed to protect the speakers by preventing them from overcharging. Users can also choose from different colors, including grey, black, orange, and blue.

As far as the pricing is concerned, the SRS-XG300 is expected to cost around $315, whereas the XE300 and XE200 are set to hit the shelf at $240 and $180. All three additions will be available for purchase in July 2022.
